FRESNO – With days left until Bacon vs. Tofu Night this Thursday, the captains and chefs have been announced for #TeamBacon and #TeamTofu. In the bacon corner is Benaddiction, a mobile food truck well known for its use of pork in its sandwiches. In the tofu corner, Eat Street Bistro and Catering, another popular food truck in Fresno, will stand tall against its bacon-formidable opponents and represent tofu, using handmade tofu from Fresno’s Tofuji.
Bacon vs. Tofu Night, presented by FresnoBeehive.com, is an evolution of the Grizzlies’ popular Taco Truck Throwdown. Similar to Taco Truck Throwdown, a winner will be crowned at the end of the night, as chosen by fans at the game and a special panel of judges. The showdown between chefs will challenge each one to create a dish that represents bacon or tofu at its finest. Fans will eat the dish of their choice and vote for their favorite.
Benaddiction is Fresno’s first brunch truck. It serves a variety of eggs benedict sandwiches throughout Fresno and Clovis on a weekly schedule as well as for private events and catering.
Eat Street Bistro serves gourmet sandwiches, salads, and sides from a mobile food truck throughout the Central San Joaquin Valley. Eat Street Bistro can be found at select Grizzlies home games at Chukchansi Park throughout the season.
Tickets for the Bacon vs. Tofu Night and Tecate Thursday are available now by calling (559) 320-TIXS, visiting the Chukchansi Park Box Office, or going online at www.FresnoGrizzlies.com.
