SBA Accepting 2014 National Small Business Week Award Nominations
FRESNO – Each year during National Small Business Week, the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recognizes outstanding small business owners for their contribution to the American economy and society. Small Business week will be celebrated nationally May 12 – 16, 2014.
SBA is currently accepting nominations for several SBA awards including the 2014 Small Business of the Year Award. The Fresno SBA Office services the 15 counties of Central California. Trade associations, chambers of commerce and business organizations frequently sponsor candidates. A business owner may also nominate themselves or other candidates. This is an opportunity to recognize an individual or an organization dedicated to the support of our small business community.
As part of National Small Week, businesses located throughout Central California will be honored with local community events. Through the work of entrepreneurs, jobs are created, families are given a better life and whole communities are transformed because of the National Small Business Week celebration.
Nomination criteria for all award categories and submission instructions can be found by visiting the SBA portal at http://nationalsmallbusinessweek.sba.gov/. Nomination packages may be uploaded via the SBA portal or mailed to the Fresno SBA Office at 801 R Street, Suite 201, Fresno, CA 93271.
