Majestic Mountain Loop Unveils Passport Program

OAKHURST The Majestic Mountain Loop, an itinerary featuring three of California’s most popular National Parks in three days, now has a new way for travelers to document their journey.

Showcasing Sequoia, Kings Canyon and Yosemite National Parks, the Majestic Mountain Loop was created through a partnership between the Visalia Convention and Visitors Bureau, Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau and Fresno Yosemite International Airport. The itinerary features highlights in the three parks as well as their gateway communities in a routing that allows travelers to experience all in three days, or longer should they have the time.

The new passport program ties in to the National Park Passport program and allows visitors to collect stamps from each park to show that they “rocked the loop.”

“The passports are a fun way for guests to make sure they see each of the highlights the parks have to offer and also show off their feat to their friends,” said Rhonda Salisbury with the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau.

The bureaus are telling visitors its “easy as 1-2-3” to get their passport.

“Guests can pick up their passport at one of several locations, get them stamped at the national park visitor centers, and then show those stamps at one of the partner locations to receive a final Majestic Mountain Loop stamp and ‘I rocked the loop’ bumper sticker,” said Brittany McMahan with the Visalia Convention & Visitors Bureau.

In addition to the bumper sticker, travelers who show off completed passports will also be entered in to a drawing to win an annual National Park Pass.

Passports can be purchased at any of the visitor centers in the parks, the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Center or online at www.MajesticMountainLoop.com/Passport.

Prizes can be claimed at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport information desk, Lamp Liter Inn Visalia, Marriott Hotel Visalia, the Tenaya Lodge, Wuksachi Lodge or Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau.
