Residents of Kings County are invited to a free public forum with Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro on March 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the West Hills Community College conference facility, 555 College Ave. in Lemoore.

The forum will provide attendees the opportunity ask questions and engage in discussion with Castro on topics about Fresno State and issues affecting the San Joaquin Valley. Dr. Kristin Clark, president of West Hills Community College Lemoore, will host Castro and members of his leadership team.

Castro, a native of Hanford and graduate of Hanford High School, became Fresno State’s eighth president on Aug. 1 2013.

Joining the president for the forum will be Dr. Lynnette Zelezny, Fresno State’s provost and vice president for Academic Affairs; Dr. Sandra Witte, interim dean of the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology; and Jim Bartko, director of Athletics. They will provide updates about academics, agriculture and athletics at Fresno State.

Guests will have the opportunity to taste Fresno State ice cream, produced by the University’s Dairy Processing Unit, along with appetizers. RSVPs should be made by Friday, Feb. 26, at www.fresnostate.edu/presidentrsvpusing the code “Lemooreforum.”
