FRESNO – After a year as a volunteer for Susan G. Komen Central Valley, Kim Kaiser has accepted the top leadership role in the local nonprofit.

In her position as board president, Kaiser wants to extend Susan G. Komen Central Valley’s footprint, and increase their presence in surrounding areas.  She said that required substantial fundraising and campaigning for sustainable growth of the Komen affiliate.

“We want to educate as many women as possible and to reach further into the culturally challenged communities that surround us or are within our service area,” Kaiser said.

Kaiser is the managing director for Amici Communications, LLC, a boutique public relations and digital marketing agency that specializes in building online business communities and developing a brand loyal customer base.  She has trained thousands of industry professionals in financial services and is a subject matter expert in FINRA licensing.  Kaiser earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from California State University, Fresno, and also has an MBA in entrepreneurship from Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate School of Business.  She is an active member of the Clovis Chamber of Commerce.

One of Kaiser’s goals as Komen board president is to raise community awareness about the local community work the affiliate does.  75 percent of proceeds from the organization’s fundraising is used for local granting.  Susan G. Komen Central Valley’s programs target breast cancer education, screening and treatment.

“We’re a very local, grassroots organization that raises money in our community for our community,” Kaiser said.
