FRESNO, CA – After nearly sixteen years, Henry and Patty Wang have returned to Fresno Chandler Executive Airport to serve downtown businesses and the general aviation community with the opening of Flight Line Café. Mr. and Mrs. Wang formally operated a restaurant at the same location from 1993 to 2000. Flight Line Café is located in Chandler Airport’s historic Chandler which is an iconic Fresno landmark and attracts general aviation pilots throughout California.
Mr. and Mrs. Wang are well-known restaurateurs who have previously operated eateries in downtown Fresno for over twenty years. With high-speed rail construction to take place near their former restaurant site, the Wang Family was determined to find a space in the downtown area to relocate their operation. Having developed a large and loyal clientele and many friendships over the years, the opening of Flight Line Café demonstrates the Wang Family’s commitment to serving the downtown area.
“We are excited to welcome the return of the Wang Family to Fresno Chandler Executive Airport,” said Director of Aviation Kevin Meikle. “Flight Line Café is an example of preserving downtown businesses by helping owners transition to spaces where they can continue a successful operation and maintain a key presence in the core of our city.”
Mr. Wang’s culinary experience spans across the world to the People’s Republic of China where he received his formal culinary training under the tutelage of Chef FAN NING. He successfully operated a restaurant on the Santa Cruz boardwalk for five years prior to relocating to Fresno.
The Flight Line Café menu features a variety of meal selections from traditional breakfast faire to Asian inspired lunch specials such as the Wang’s well known Kung Pao Chicken. The Café will be open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
