Fresno Chamber’s State of the City is Wednesday
FRESNO – This Wednesday, June 25, Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin will share the City’s accomplishments, opportunities and future plans during the Fresno Chamber of Commerce’s 24th annual State of the City luncheon.
Mayor Swearengin shared her gratitude for the open forum and gave insight into her upcoming speech, saying, “I appreciate the Chamber giving me an opportunity to share Fresno’s many accomplishments over the past year, as well as the challenges we continue to face as we look to the future. I’m especially glad to report that there’s an air of optimism and a newfound confidence around City Hall that is decidedly different from previous years, with an outlook that is both encouraging and achievable.”
Fresno Chamber President and CEO, Al Smith, is anticipating a particularly compelling update from the Mayor at this year’s event. “This year’s State of the City address should be most illuminating,” he said. ”A lot of things are currently happening that can affect our city and Mayor Swearengin’s report should be of high interest to everyone.”
Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning at noon in the Fresno Convention and Entertainment Center’s New Exhibit Hall.
