Fresno, Calif. (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) – St. Anthony’s School is once again partnering with the Fresno Grizzlies, the Triple-A affiliate of the World Series Champion Washington Nationals and ERI, the largest electronic waste recycling company in North America, to hold their annual spring e-waste recycling collection events at the school on Sunday, March 15th and Sunday, March 22nd  from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. This event is to bring continued awareness to data security, environmental protection, and focusing on key issues including the benefits of recycling.

The Fresno Grizzlies are donating a buy one get one free reserved ticket for any home game during April 2020, to the first 200 cars that drop off a TV, Computer or Monitor.  The Grizzlies are a generous partner with a keen awareness of the needs of the community.  Residents will have the opportunity to safely recycle their electronics at no cost while supporting the school’s computer department.  ERI will make a donation to the school based on the amount of electronics collected at the event.  Volunteers will assist with the drop-off of electronics.

All of the e-waste collected at the event will be responsibly recycled guaranteeing data destruction and privacy for all material collected at no charge.  It is incredibly important to insure that the personal information contained in the devices are completely destroyed.

“ERI is always honored to partner with St. Anthony’s school.  By holding these collection events, they are able to raise money for their school, help to divert electronics from landfills and most importantly teach students how they can individually and as a group be part of the “Green” movement and be good stewards of the environment,” said ERI’s Executive Chairman John Shegerian.  “Together, with the help of our youth, we are making the world a better place.”

”St. Anthony’s School is pleased to partner with ERI and the Fresno Grizzlies in an electronic recycling effort that assists our community, teaches our students the importance of recycling, and provides an opportunity for us to be good stewards of our environment, while also raising money for the student computer lab ” said Don Olson of St. Anthony’s School.

We all have outdated electronics in our garages, homes and offices, and these events are the perfect opportunity to recycle them safely.  TV’s, computers, monitors, laptops, printers, cell phones, print cartridges and other electronic devices will be accepted (no batteries or light bulbs will be taken).  There is no limit to the amount of electronics businesses and individuals can bring to the event to be recycled.
