FRESNO – The Fresno Chamber of Commerce has announced that its upcoming event, Eggs & Issues – “Crime is Toast” with City of Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer, has completely sold out. The highly anticipated breakfast will be held on Jan. 16, with the program scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. in University Square Hotel’s main conference room.

During the breakfast, Chief Dyer will address the issue of crime in our region.  He will also share insights on the strategies being used by the Fresno Police Department to fight Fresno crime. Attendees are encouraged to come early, prepared with questions and comments regarding the state of criminal justice in Fresno.

“Crime remains one of our community’s top priorities,” said Fresno Chamber President and CEO Al Smith.  ”In order to combat this threat to society, city law enforcement continues to explore new, more effective crime fighting measures.  No one has focused more on this endeavor than Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer.  We look forward to an update on his progress.”

The Chamber’s Eggs & Issues events are held multiple times throughout the year and provide a format for local business and community leaders to get an update on local, state and federal issues.  Recent past speakers have included Senator Tom Berryhill and Senator Andy Vidak, Congressman Devin Nunes,   Councilmembers Steve Brandau and Paul Caprioglio, Senator Mark J. Rubio, Mayor Ashley Swearengin, Congressman Jeff Denham, Assemblymember Jim Patterson and, most recently, Congressman Jim Costa.
