CLOVIS COMMUNITY COLLEGE UNVEILS NEW SIGN AND LOGO AT CELEBRATION

Clovis Community College was approved as the 113th community college in the state of California on July 20, 2015.  An official ceremony marking the change in status from a center to a full college will be held August 20, 2015 from 10 – 11 a.m. as faculty and students return to campus for the start of the fall semester.

In addition to unveiling the new sign and logo, the celebration will include a $25,000 check presentation to start the Leon S. Peters Honors Program at the college.  A Joint Proclamation by Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin and Clovis Mayor Nathan Magsig will be presented.  The Keynote Speaker will be California Community College Chancellor, (and former Fresno City College President) Dr. Brice Harris.

With its new status, Clovis Community College will now offer two athletic programs which will also be announced at the ceremony by President Deborah Ikeda.
