Chinese American Citizens Alliance (CACA) with support of AMVETS Department of California awards Congressional Gold Medals to four living veterans: Edward Sing Quan, Ray Lee, Hansen Chin, and Wing Tuck Chin. Five more Congressional Gold Medals will be awarded to widows of deceased veterans.

Recently Congress had passed the Congressional Gold Medal for Chinese American WWII Veterans Act, which President Trump signed into law on December 20, 2018 (Public Law 115-337). The Chinese American Citizens Alliance (CACA) created the Chinese American WWII Veterans Recognition Project and had made it their mission to recognize, honor, and celebrate the military service of Chinese Americans who fought in World War II through advocacy, education, and preservation. The recognition of these soldiers’ patriotism, sacrifice, and valor, and others who have yet to be recognized, is long overdue.
