40 Under 40: Brett Frazier – City of Madera

Brett Frazier is the youngest Madera mayor in history.  He was elected to the Madera City Council in November of 2010 with the most votes of any candidate running in the three-spot race.  He is a Madera native and earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology at the University of Santa Barbara.

In addition to his position as mayor of Madera, Frazier also serves on the boards of Madera County Transportation Commission, Housing Authority of Madera, Redevelopment Agency of Madera, and the Business Partner Program for Madera South High School.  He previously served on the Community Action Partnership of Madera County.  Frazier is working with Fresno’s Leading Young Professionals to start the first charter branch in the City of Madera, where he would serve as the first chair of the organization.

Frazier has also owned and operated Papa Murphy’s Pizza in Madera since 2005.  The pizzeria was previously started by his father when Frazier was 2 under the name Piccolo’s Pizza.  Frazier was previously in commercial real estate at Marcus & Millichap in Newport Beach.  He currently lives in Madera with his two children, Wyatt and Hallie.
