Vicente Fernandez Concert Rescheduled
FRESNO – Vicente Fernandez, beloved singer known throughout the world as “El Rey de la Cancio” or “The King of Ranchera Music” has rescheduled his previously canceled worldwide tour. Accompanied by his son, Vicente Fernandez Jr., the legendary singer will bid farewell to his loyal fans in the Central Valley on Friday, April 12 at Fresno’s Selland Arena.
Fans will be able to enjoy the spectacular combinations of voice and sensational backdrops that are unmistakably “El Rey – Vicente Fernandez.” The farewell concert tour is a celebration of 45 years of his artistic life and will feature 12 new tracks, including “Otra Vez” (Once Again) and “El Ultimo Barco” (The Last Boat).
“I perform because I have song left in my heart and I want the public to remember me this way,” Fernandez said.
Fernandez is considered the last authentic Ranchera singer, with his career spanning over four decades. The beloved singer has sold over 65 million album copies worldwide, is the star of more than 30 films and has had dozens of musical hits, including “Del Rey,” “Volver Volver,” “Por Tu Maltido Amor,” “Mujeres Divinas” and “Hermoso Carino.”
Ticket prices start at $48, and will be available beginning Friday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. at the Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center main box office located at Selland Arena.
