Healthcare Heroes Honored at Reception
FRESNO – The central California healthcare community stepped out in support of some of their own last night at the 2013 “Heroes in HealthCare” awards reception, presented by Business Street Online and held inside the Skyroom Lounge at the Holiday Inn Fresno Downtown.
During the acceptance speeches there were some lighthearted moments, as well as ones that gave some honorees lumps in their throats. Awards were presented in seven categories: Dentist, Emergency Response, Innovation, Volunteer, Healthcare Professional, Nurse, and Physician. A special Lifetime Achievement Award was also given out.
“It starts with the nominators,” said Lance Cardoza, president and publisher of Business Street Online. “This year we had so many good nominations come in, it makes it hard to narrow it down. It also makes our job a lot easier to tell those stories out there of people who went over and beyond in healthcare.”
Nominations will start to be accepted for next year’s “Heroes in HealthCare” event this Saturday, June 1. Below is a list of this year’s honorees.
