Fresno Readies for ‘State of the City’ Address

FRESNO – Each spring the mayor of Fresno delivers a State of the City address to leaders, entrepreneurs, non-profits, local businesses, students, and others devoted to the City of Fresno. On Thursday, May 16 the Fresno Chamber of Commerce presents this year’s annual State of the City Luncheon. Featuring the honorable Mayor Ashley Swearengin, this event provides a forum for the Mayor to share, with the community, the City’s accomplishments, opportunities and plans for the future.

In past addresses Mayor Swearengin has recounted the past and defined where Fresno has stood during those times. Going through the years, the mayor depicted the ups and downs of the City as well as future plans and desires for the community. This year the mayor will talk about recent successes, important issues and express even more determination in the fight for a better home, a better community, a better city.
