Fresno EDC Launches Local High-Speed Rail Business Support Program

FRESNO – The Economic Development Corporation serving Fresno County (EDC) is pleased to announce the recent hire of William Eric McComas, who joins the agency to commence and manage the EDC’s Local High-Speed Rail Business Support Program (Program).

The Program is the culmination of a joint effort of the EDC, the City and County of Fresno to ensure the needs of all businesses within the City and County affected by the California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) Right of Way Alignment are properly addressed.  The Program will be staffed by a team of five new hires led by Mr. McComas.

Mr. McComas, a former attorney, brings a wealth of real estate and community relations experience to his new position which involves management of the Program.  Raised and educated in the Fresno/Clovis Metropolitan area, Mr. McComas graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University, Fresno (CSUF) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and the Dean’s Medal.  Additionally, Mr. McComas has a Juris Doctor from San Joaquin College of Law and a Master of Business Administration degree from CSUF.  Prior to joining the EDC, Mr. McComas worked at Lang, Richert & Patch, Coleman & Horowitt, LLP and Pascuzzi, Moore & Stoker, PC.
