FIRST PLACE FRESNO GRIZZLIES RETURN HOME TONIGHT FOR SEVEN GAMES IN EIGHT DAYS

FRESNO, Calif. — The first place Fresno Grizzlies return home to Chukchansi Park tonight to begin a seven-game homestand that starts with a four-game series against Pacific Southern division-leading Las Vegas 51s. It will mark the first of seven games in a row at home for the Grizzlies, culminating with three against the heated-rival Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, from Tuesday, June 23rd through Thursday, June 25th. Promotion highlights for the homestand include Fresbro Night, Where Champions Are Grown ring giveaway, 25-cent Hot Dogs on Father’s Day, Grumpy Cat Night, and a Burger Throwdown.

The Grizzlies, 40-26 and owning an 8.5 game first place lead, have begun the month of June by winning 11 of 15 games, including a historic 17-0 victory on their completed road trip where they tallied a franchise record 27 hits.

A burst of energy was injected into the team with the recent addition of Tony Kemp, who was leading the Texas League in batting average (.358) and on-base percentage (.457) at the time of his promotion from Double-A Corpus Christi. First baseman Jon Singleton leads the Pacific Coast League in RBI (60) and takes a 17-game on-base streak into tonight’s contest.

The team is currently offering fans a Friends and Family package that includes four field level reserve tickets and four Chick-Fil-A chicken deluxe meal vouchers for only $34.99 to either the Friday, June 19th or Saturday, June 20th game. The first 500 packages sold will also receive a complimentary Where Champions Are Grown ring.

Thursday, June 18 at 7:05 PM — vs. Las Vegas 51s
You can take your bromance to the next level by purchasing a package that includes two field level reserve tickets and two limited-edition Fresbro t-shirts for only $30. The t-shirt package is a collaboration with Shredworthy and can be purchased exclusively in-person at the Chukchansi Park Box Office. Inside the park, fans can swig $2 24-ounce Tecate and Tecate Light, as well as $1 12-ounce sodas as they watch the first place Fresno Grizzlies.

Friday, June 19 at 7:05 PM — vs. Las Vegas 51s
Friday Night Fireworks, presented by CoBank, will cap a fantastic evening of baseball that will see the Grizzlies turn back the clocks and wear Fresno Tigers theme jerseys, which was a Class D team in the California League for six years (1908-14).

Saturday, June 20 at 7:05 PM — Las Vegas 51s (General Public gates open at 5:35 PM – Gate 1 and Gate 2)
In one of the more anticipated promotions of the year, the Fresno Grizzlies will hand out Where Champions Are Grown rings, presented by PG&E, to the first 1,500 fans through the gates. The ring shows off Fresno’s championship heritage, which in regards to professional baseball began when Fresno was affiliated with the 1942 and 1946 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals and has continued through the recent affiliation with the 2010, 2012 and 2014 World Champion San Francisco Giants.

Sunday, June 21 at 6:05 PM — Las Vegas 51s
Father’s Day at Chukchansi Park, presented by Save Mart Supermarkets, includes Family Catch on the Field pregame (starts at 5:05 PM), 25-cent Hot Dogs during the game (presented by Armour Eckrich), and Kids Run The Bases postgame (presented by Sun-Maid). There will also be a special Schwab package that includes one full Schwab, three Schwab sliders, watermelon wedges, fries, and one t-shirt for $25. If you’re not familiar with the Schwab, it is a 1/3 pound burger topped with pepper jack cheese, a split hot dog, bacon, fried pickles, japaleno nacho cheese, onion straws, fresh lettuce, tomato, and a garlic aioli on a cornmeal dusted Kaiser roll. Normally exclusively available in the Phoenix Club, the Schwab package will be available on the third-base concourse in the stand near the Tecate Cantina.

Monday, June 22 — Fresno Grizzlies are OFF

Tuesday, June 23 at 7:05 PM — vs. Sacramento River Cats
We welcome our rivals to the north by showcasing their grumpiness. Any fan showing a post of a grumpy cat meme on their social media with the hashtag #Wackramento will receive 50% off regularly priced tickets at the box office. The night also marks the $2 Tuesday promotion, which offers fans $2 Power Alley seats (day of game only), $2 Dos Equis drafts, $2 Hot Dogs and $2 Sodas. 2-for-1 ticket offers are also available in the Phoenix Club and Field Box sections.

Wednesday, June 24 at 7:05 PM — vs. Sacramento River Cats
Game two of the Highway 99 Rivalry series showcases the Everybody Wins-Day promotion. If the Grizzlies win, all fans in attendance can take their ticket stub to Swiggs Restaurant & Bar for six free wings (redeemable until Tuesday, June 30). In the event the Grizzlies lose, all fans in attendance will receive a complimentary voucher as they exit the park to the following Wednesday home game on August 5th vs. Sacramento.

Thursday, June 25 at 7:05 PM — vs. Sacramento River Cats
Things are about to get tasty for Tecate Thursday. The Grizzlies will host a Burger Throwdown between Colorado Grill and Dukes Downtown along the third base concourse. Each of them will offer fans slider-sized specialty burgers as they compete for fans votes to earn the Burger Throwdown Champion. Fans can also indulge in $2 24-ounce Tecate and Tecate Light, as well as $1 12-ounce sodas (available all game).
