FRESNO FUEGO FC TO HOST LA GALAXY II IN A SOCCER EXHIBITION AT CHUKCHANSI PARK ON FEBRUARY 21
FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Fuego FC (USL PDL), presented by Marquez Brothers El Mexicano Brand, have announced today that they will host an exhibition match against USL PRO LA Galaxy II at Chukchansi Park on Saturday, February 21st at 7:00 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.).The additional February exhibition match comes at a turning point for soccer interest in the Central Valley as the Fuego looks to build towards becoming a USL PRO level franchise.
“There is an explosive soccer fervor spreading across the country and we’re delighted to satisfy that craving in the Central Valley by bringing the Galaxy II back to Fresno for a match. The Galaxy name is the most recognized soccer brand in America and it is an honor to continue our sporting relationship with them,” stated Fuego General Manager Jeremy Schultz. “The commitment by professional clubs to include Fresno in their annual plans says a lot about the growing soccer market in the Central Valley. This exhibition match is also a platform for fans to really embrace the Fresno Fuego.”

“Our match against Fresno is a good opportunity to move our group forward,” stated LA Galaxy II Manager Curt Onalfo. The Galaxy II played their first match in club history against the Fuego at Chukchansi Park prior to last year’s Central California Cup, earning a 2-1 victory.
