Zenovich earns top VP fundraising title at Community
Katie Zenovich, a longtime Valley development professional, was recently named vice president for corporate development at Community Medical Centers – the region’s largest healthcare system with nine facilities serving the Central Valley.
As vice president, Zenovich will guide Community’s fundraising efforts and serve as lead development officer. She will also be responsible for Community’s corporate relations activities.
Over the last eight years, Zenovich has served as executive director of the Foundation and been responsible for multi-million dollar gifts including major projects like Terry’s House, pediatric and young adult burn care and supporting Clovis Community’s $300 million expansion project.
Zenovich also initiated the Clovis Community Development Council – a group of committed community leaders, who work to build relationships and raise philanthropic support for the hospital.
Prior to coming to Community, Zenovich held high-profile marketing and development positions with other area medical centers and California State University, Fresno. She also played a key role in the campaign to elect Mayor Ashley Swearengin where the campaign raised more money than any other in Fresno’s history.
Zenovich was recognized as Outstanding Alumnus of the Year in 2007 by Leadership Fresno and in 2000 was named one of Fresno’s Top Professional Business Women. She is a member of Leadership California, past chair of Leadership Fresno, past president of the American Heart Association and currently sits on the board of Association for Fundraising Professionals – Central Valley Chapter.
Zenovich is a native of Santa Barbara and has a degree in healthcare management from Century University and a business management degree from University of Phoenix. She is married to Paul Wightman, has three children, and enjoys a game of golf with the whole family whenever possible.
