’40 Under 40′ – Courtney Bautista – Central Unified School District
Courtney Bautista is a lifelong Fresnan who graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School and California State University, Fresno with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and journalism.
In 2004, she landed a job as a reporter for The Twin City Times, a newspaper covering the rural areas of Easton, Caruthers and Riverdale. She was honored to serve the close-knit communities where she grew up as a raisin farmer’s daughter. Bautista accepted a position with Central Unified School District in 2006 and has been employed there in various capacities for the past seven years, currently as the instructional technology and assessment coordinator.
As an avid Disney fan and social media aficionado, Bautista received the opportunity of a lifetime when she was selected from tens of thousands of worldwide applicants to be a Disneyland Resort Specialist on the 2013 Disney Parks Moms Panel. As an independent contractor for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, she serves as a company ambassador by writing content for DisneyParksMomsPanel.com. In addition to answering guests’ vacation planning questions, she attends events and media outings on behalf of the panel and disseminates Disney content through a variety of social media outlets.
Bautista lives in Fresno with her husband, Angelo, and 3-year-old son, Mason. In her spare time, she serves as a wedding hostess at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, providing ceremony coordination assistance to couples and their wedding parties. She also blogs about working motherhood, miscarriage and infertility awareness, travel and her passion for all things Disney.
