’40 Under 40′ – Sarah Higginbotham – Acquisition Partners of America, LLC

Sarah Higginbotham currently works for Acquisition Partners of America, LLC, a grant writing and grant management company in Fresno, California. She helped start the company in 2008, with a shared vision of seeking and securing funding for existing school district and municipality programs and projects.

Sarah grew up in a rural portion of Madera County, but attended Clovis Unified schools. She attended the University of California, Riverside where she received a partial scholarship to play on the school’s softball team. Sarah graduated in 2002 with a degree in political science/law and society.

She returned to Fresno after graduating and worked for Enterprise Rent-a-Car in the Management Trainee program. While great experience, Sarah wanted to further her education. She decided to return to school; she attended California State University, Fresno and received a master’s degree in international relations.

While at CSU Fresno, Sarah met many people in the political world and upon graduating she went to work for Congressman George Radanovich. She served as a constituent services advisor, working with constituents to resolve problems they were facing with various federal agencies. While with Radanovich’s office she completed the Healthcare Policy Leadership Program at CSU Fresno. She worked for Radanovich for over three years when he decided to retire.

Sarah, her husband Scott, and their child Abigail live in Fresno. She is a founding member of La Visionaria Guild benefiting Children’s Hospital Central California, has served as a site coordinator for Kid’s Day, has volunteered with the American Heart Association for six years, and helps with numerous political events.
