PINC Now Accepting Applications for 2014 Nonprofit Beneficiary
FRESNO – Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of our Community (PINC), a unique Fresno nonprofit founded in 2008 to benefit other local nonprofits in the community, has announced that they are now accepting applications from Fresno County nonprofit organizations that have services and programs targeting women and children to serve as the beneficiary for their 2014 fundraising event.
PINC raised $36,500 at its 5th annual fundraising event this past June for their 2013 beneficiary, Catholic Charities – Diocese of Fresno, which has been serving low-income Fresno County families for 45 years regardless of their religious affiliation. The charity offers emergency food and clothing services, as well as a Senior Companion Program and a Representative Payee Program.
The top three nonprofit applicants as selected by the PINC board will be notified and invited to present their organization to the entire PINC membership at their November meeting. General membership will then vote to choose one nonprofit beneficiary. The 2014 beneficiary will be announced in late November 2013.
Even though PINC is a fairly new nonprofit organization, its members have been accomplishing great things in the community. Since 2009, PINC has raised $139,500 through its annual fundraising events benefitting Angel Babies of Hinds Hospice ($15,000), Marjaree Mason Center ($25,000), Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central California ($35,000), Break the Barriers ($28,000) and Catholic Charities – Diocese of Fresno ($36,500).
“We are excited to continue our mission to serve the needs of our community through our annual fundraising event,” said Kirin Sran, current president of PINC. “We know there are amazing nonprofit organizations doing great things in the community who could use the additional funding, so we are looking forwarding to seeing the various applications and selecting one that we can help make a difference for in 2014.”
PINC will be accepting applications for their potential 2014 beneficiary. Applications are now available on their website at www.PincFresno.org. Applications will be accepted until midnight October 18, 2013. All applications must be either submitted by e-mail to info@pincfresno.org. or mailed toP.O. Box 3413, Pinedale, CA 93650. No late applications will be accepted; no exceptions. Proof of 501(c)3 must be submitted with application. Applicants can expect to receive a confirmation of receipt within 24 hours of their submission.
