EDC Names Juanita Stevenson as Corporate Locations Coordinator

FRESNO – The Economic Development Corporation serving Fresno County has announced the recent hire of Juanita Stevenson, who joins the agency as corporate locations c0ordinator.

Stevenson, a former anchor and reporter for KFSN-TV ABC 30, brings a wealth of media and community relations experience to her new position, which involves marketing the region to maximize economic development in Fresno County.

“The EDC plays a vital role in bringing jobs to our valley by providing new and existing businesses with the resources they need to thrive,” Stevenson said.  ”I’m thrilled to be a part of an agency that is working hard to create new opportunities for the people of this county.”

“The EDC is fortunate to have Juanita join our team,” said EDC President and CEO Lee Ann Eager.  ”With her experience, knowledge, and passion for our community, we know she will be a wonderful asset to our organization.”

Prior to joining the EDC, Stevenson was the host and reporter for “Valley Edition,” a local program on KVPR, Valley Public Radio.  She also created a segment, which airs on ABC30 called “Valley Works.”  The news segment focuses on jobs and workforce issues.  Stevenson is a valley native and grew up in Bakersfield and attended CSULA.  She is an active member of the community and serves on the board of the Fresno Council of Child Abuse Prevention.
