40 Under 40: Cinderela Co – HealthPoint Home Health
Cinderela Co and her family immigrated to the United States when she was 14, not long after her father had died of cancer. Her mother, who was a nurse, moved Co and her siblings to Las Vegas after a short time in the central California area. Co herself earned a nursing degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and became director of nursing at a Las Vegas home health facility before moving back to Fresno.

Co joined HealthPoint Home Health in 2010, and under her leadership as director of nursing HealthPoint became the first non-hospital based home health agency to receive the Joint Commission accreditation in Fresno County by demonstrating its commitment to the highest level of patient care and safety. The agency has also increased its patient census by almost tenfold in the past year. Some of her responsibilities at HealthPoint include planning, directing and coordinating the delivery of healthcare services to the agency’s home care patients, as well as educating the agency’s 35 healthcare professionals.
In spring of 2012, Co has partnered HealthPoint with HandsOn Central California to support the community through volunteer activities. She is also working with Poverello House to help serve meals to the homeless and needy.
In 2008, Co was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is currently studying law at San Joaquin College of Law, pursuing a law degree with an emphasis in healthcare. She plans to become an advocate for the community and to increase the representation of healthcare law in the Central Valley.
Co loves travel, and plans on visiting Brazil and seeing the Amazon Rainforest.
