40 Under 40: Christopher Stetsko – Rose Strategic Advisors
Christopher Stetsko is a Fresno native, and attended Edison Computech High School, where he was on the wrestling team and involved in student government. He later enrolled in Reedley College, where he played football and continued his involvement in student government. After Reedley College he enlisted in the Marine Corps., and served in active duty in the reserves for nine years. He was deployed to Somalia and East Africa, was in the Middle East on a few occasions, and served in areas of South Asia.

After his military service Stetsko enrolled in Pennsylvania State, where he earned a bachelor’s in international politics. He earned an internship at the U.S. State Department working in crisis management training, where he developed and honed his research and writing skills. While there he helped write the crisis management training plan for the embassy and consul in Australia in preparation for the 2000 Summer Olympics.
Following his internship, Stetsko was accepted into graduate school in the University of San Diego, where he received a master’s in international relations and became involved in campaigns and grassroots politics upon his return to Fresno. He has been an intern for Congressman George Radanovich, was involved in the early stages of the Water Wars in 2005, and worked on the campaign to re-elect then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2006. On the side Stetsko developed an interest in teaching, and earned a teaching credential from California State University, Fresno in 2008. He has taught high school and middle school history, government and economics, and has been a local football coach since 2009.
Stetsko is now a writer and researcher for Rose Strategic Advisors in Fresno. In his spare time he works out at the gym, writes fiction and is a military and political buff.
