40 Under 40: Christina Musson – KMJ Radio
Christina Musson is a native of Fresno, and graduated from Edison Computech School in 1999. She then went to college at New York State University and its Tisch School of the Arts, studying musical theater. A severe case of stage fright led her to pursue another career, this time in journalism.

Her first job after college in journalism was at KMPH FOX 26 in Fresno in 2003, when the “Great Day” program had started airing. After being the assistant to the woman that booked the show’s guests and interviews, she became a writer for the show. Musson next became producer for the station’s Midday News, then became the 7 a.m. producer of “Great Day” for a year. After a short time as a reporter for the ABC affiliate in Yakima, Washington, she spent three years with CBS 47 in Fresno before making the jump to KMJ Radio, the Central Valley’s highest-rated radio station.
At KMJ, she excels as the morning traffic anchor and executive producer of “The Ray Appleton Show.” She scours the Internet daily for news to make sure Appleton is at his best, and makes a news list that is distributed to all the program hosts.
Musson lives in Fresno with her husband, Ralph Rendon.
