’40 Under 40′ – Casey Lamonski – Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Casey Lamonski started her career in 2002 after completing her business degree at California State University, Fresno. Starting out as the events and promotions director with the regional department store, Gottschalks, she went onto a local TV station and then a local business publication. Lamonski was instrumental in starting a local events venue company and is currently the Educational Outreach Program director with the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
While at the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Lamonski has grown the program from over 500 students to over 800 students in a school year. Her business background has given the students enrolled in the entrepreneurship program some great examples and real world experiences.
The Fresno Advertising Federation bestowed two awards upon Lamonski, one being Advertising Professional of the Year and the other, the Nancy Thielen Award for Up and Coming Advertising professional.
She has been an active member in the community serving on several boards of directors such as the Fresno Advertising Federation, Children’s Hospital Corporate Council, American Red Cross, Reading and Beyond and the Greater Area Fresno Chamber of Commerce Business and Education committee.
Lamonski has been married to Curtis Short for 7 years, has a 5- year-old son and a 10-month-old daughter and three dogs. When she can find downtime, Casey enjoys camping in her travel trailer on the beach, reading the latest fiction novel and watching shows on the History Channel.
