’40 Under 40′ – Barrett Annis – Quiring General

Barry Annis is senior project manager with The Quiring General, LLC.  During his tenure he has worked on numerous projects, which include retail, multi-family, custom homes, medical, and senior living.  Currently, he is responsible for managing the completion of San Joaquin Gardens, a continuing care retirement community and presently one of Fresno’s largest construction projects. In the past 7 years with Quiring, Annis has demonstrated his ability to effectively manage complex projects and lead a large staff with consistency and viability.

Annis went to Clovis High School where he played football and soccer.  He continued his education by attending Reedley College and Fresno State studying geology.  While working at Quiring, Annis has attended both FMI’s Leadership Institute and Project Managers Academy to enhance his managerial and leadership skills.

Prior to joining Quiring General, LLC, Annis managed the department for Materials Testing with Moore Twining Associates (formerly Twining Labs, Inc) a geotechnical engineering firm. He managed a diverse portfolio, including construction special inspections, materials testing laboratory and physical properties soils laboratory.

Annis currently resides in Fresno, California with his wife Kira and three-year-old daughter Makayla. When not working, Barry enjoys spending time with his family, camping, golfing and running.
