’40 Under 40′ – Angela Vega – PG&E
Angela Vega is a graduate of California State University, Fresno where she earned a degree in mass communication and journalism and Chicano/Latino studies. As a student, Angela was awarded the Bernard Shepard Journalism Scholarship for Public Relations and the Costa Federal Intern Scholarship through the Maddy Institute.
Her passion for community and public affairs first developed during her service as an intern and staff assistant to former Assemblymember Sarah Reyes. Angela continued her service to the public working as an intern for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, district representative for Congressman Jim Costa, and board assistant for Fresno County Supervisor Phil Larson. She now serves as a community relations specialist for Pacific Gas and Electric Company, where she manages the company’s community investments program for the Central Valley region.
Angela currently serves on the board of directors for the Central California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Fresno’s Leading Young Professionals. She is an alumna of the Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) Leadership Institute and has also served on the board of the Central California Latina Network and the advisory council for the UC Merced Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Regional Network.
In her spare time, Angela enjoys traveling, Bikram Yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
