40 Under 40: Amy Guerra – Law Office of Amy Guerra
Amy Guerra is a Central Valley native, and graduated from Kingsburg High School in 1997 and then took classes at California State University, Fresno. She first majored in English, and then made the switch to cultural anthropology. Guerra has also been involved in AmeriCorps VISTA under the Fresno West Coalition for Economic Development, where the project called for the creation of a community development credit union.

Guerra has also worked for the County of Fresno Public Defender’s Office, as well as the Patience Milrod Law Office before opening her own practice, the Law Office of Amy Guerra, in downtown Fresno. She is a graduate of the San Joaquin College of Law, where she earned numerous academic honors.
Guerra was a Leadership Fresno Class 27 graduate, serves as secretary of Fresno La Raza Lawyer Association as well as the political endorsement commitment. She was appointed by Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin to the Mayor’s Office of Independent Review Selection Committee and served as a board member for Creative Fresno. She was co-chair of the 2006 Latino Educational Conference and the Martin Luther King Awards Committee-Human Relations Commission. In addition, Guerra is a regular contributor to Fresno Magazine, HIS Magazine, Community Alliance, Inside Fresno and Clovis.
Guerra lives in Fresno with her husband, Daniel, and their three children. Her interests include photography.
