’40 Under 40′ – Amanda Williams – David Nalchajian, Inc.
Amanda Williams was born and raised in northern California. After graduating from Del Norte High School in Crescent City, CA, she studied in Brazil for a year, which developed in her a passion for travel, languages and a better understanding of the world around her. After several years of travel and schooling, Williams met her husband and eventually settled in his hometown of Fresno, earning her bachelor’s degree at California State University, Fresno. At Fresno State she majored in history, with an emphasis on social history and women’s studies.
Williams’ professional career began in the marketing department of an international telephone company, putting her Portuguese and Spanish language skills to use. After this, she took a position with David Nalchajian, Inc. (DNI), a local sponsorship sales and consulting agency. Williams’ employment at DNI has allowed her the opportunity to develop a wide array of skills in the sponsorship, advertising and marketing fields. She has been a pivotal part of a sponsorship and event marketing team that works with many events within the Central Valley including The Big Fresno Fair, Merced County Fair and Madera District Fair, along with her role in the highly successful Fresno Food Expo that matches local food producers with local, national and international buyers. As current vice president of DNI, she leads a successful and growing sales team.
In her spare time, Williams volunteers for Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of Our Community (PINC), where she has held several board positions since becoming a founding member in 2008. More than anything, she enjoys spending free time with her husband, Mike, and two young children, Phoenix and Esmé.
